Is there any hope for us...

There is always Hope. For those who want guarantees even before making an attempt, just remember that seeking such assurances will certainly cause failure for everyone.

Is recapture there? Will Eb-3 or my eb2 date move? Then when will I get my green card approval? Those are all valid questions.

But perhaps we need to rise up above simple answers from a very complicated situation and just do our share, give it our best for the solutions we are looking for. Do not intended to get preachy here, but I hope you get the point.

What people usually do is get someone in their home country to be the Google Adsense beneficiary

How do i register with google adsense to make someone from my home country as beneficiary.In that case wht do i need to give the persons taxid(like pan number from india).How can i do it?

Just change your registration info and set it to someone outside the US. I am not sure if they will ask you for any number if you are outside the US.

Just for a change in topic, do you guys to know good Life insurance company who do not show prejudice between greencard holder and H-1B Holder.
I just got life insurance through select quote, west coast which coast only 22$ for � million insurance rejected me stating that there is a difference rate of green card holder and Alien.

I got through Prudential which is costing me 50$.


Any experience with you folks

As veni001 stated to extend H1B beyond 6 yrs don't we need to have Approved 140? and you said your 140 was withdrawn after approval. So withdrawn 140 has no effect on H1B extension. Did you submit the 140 documents also to USCIS? my email id is kalyan.cdev at gmail.com please drop me an email with the details..

Since this thread is open and dont want to wast resouce on new thread. I want to ask people those who had already filed 485/EAD/AP that did anyone has taken photos at Walgreens.

I am getting $7.99 for taking 2 photos at Walgreens($48 for 2person with 6 photos deal) in Milwaukee. Whereas in Kinko's I am getting deal of $13.50 for first 2 photo and rest 4 photos for $13.50 ($54 for 2 person with 6 photos deal) in Milwaukee city area.

Now question besides money I want to know which one is worth taking chance for taking a picture interms of quality.

Thank you for the very helpful information. This is exactly what I plan to do unless the IO at the port-of-entry specifically asks for the travel doc. I sure hope that it doesn't come to that because I don't want to use the travel doc.

When we have traveled to Matamoros, MX for stamping we had AP and H1/H4. On return we have used H1/H4. NO questions asked at the border check post.

US Govt don't have to worry about it because we don't qualify for UnEmployment Benefits anyways.

Now thats a different story that we pay unemployment and SS taxes but we don't get any benefits out of it.....:(

There are two pointless threads on this site, one is titled "The yanks are coming" and another as "US political system is broken". They both contain long rants of a single user. I seriously doubt if anybody ever reads them, as is evident from the absence of any other user's reply to these threads. Why don't we just remove them, or block them from showing up on the main page. At least it will free up space for more useful threads.

Those are excellent threads buddy. If you look at the content the poster seems to spend significant time to gather the facts and the presentation is extremely detailed. Somebody mentioned the lighten up thread its also great, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I agree that some information may not be strictly immigration related its ok. This is my personal opinion.

You can change your address online or also by calling the USCIS. I did the latter in my case a few months ago. Once the system is updated by a USCIS customer service rep to reflect the new address, you'll get an email notification, if you have that feature activated on the USCIS site/your application portfolio.

I have not yet got the FP appointment. Could this be the letter for that or something else serious?
After filing, my address changed.
I submitted AR-11 form, called USCIS and updated address, when opened SR last month gave them the new address to for which any notices have to be sent etc..but still got this letter from our super efficient USCIS.

My friend received a letter from USCIS in response to his phone call asking then why they have not taken a decision inspite of 60 days expired after responding RFE. This is what the letter mentions.

The status of this service request is:

Your application is pending the availability of 3rd preference employment based Visas. Currently there are none available. You are invited to visit the Department of State website where you may keep abreast of any developments regarding this classification of Visa.

What does this mean ? Now, he don't have to worry about any future RFE/Denials ? Can he make his future plans assuming he will get his GC one day ?? His PD is 2001.

please advise guys ..

As I read your msg , I interpret the USCIS letter (my reading of in-between lines) that his EB-3 (PD:2001) case has been pre-adjudicated and he is all set to get his GC whenever visa numbers are available.

I thought the same thing but then I researched some more and I found out that this kind of notes basically gives the holder the power to go to court and get (easily), a court order to retrieve the owned amount from the other party's account. It generally applies to a Creditor Debtor relationship, but doesnt end there. ( i may be wrong ).

Dont be surprised, the guys is covering all corners, so that in no way he gets in trouble. it just instates that fact he's good, which somehow doesnt work in my favour.
I guess you are right, attorney is the best way to go about it.

I just got approved for my 3 year extension I am on my 7 th year now.
I just got a request from HR saying that I need to sign a promissory note for the total amount spent by my employer on H1b realted fees.

So in short they are asking me to sing the promissory note to get reimbursement for part of the lawyer fees I had paid for this visa extension.

Here are the important points:
0. Total amount is like $3K.
1. 50% owed after 1 year
2. 0% owed after two years of service.
3. 100% owed when employment is terminated by either party :-0
4. 10% per annum interest after the 31st day of termination.

Is this even legal , or it lies in the gray areas for any body to interpret anything they want.
I dont care about the money, but I think this is borderline harassment.

Note:This is not a desi consulting co.

What happens if I transfer my H1B from A to B (A has concurrently filed I140/485, >180 days, I 140 NOT approved). Can I have B do AC21 after I 140 from A gets approved (may take 4-5 more months) ? Do I HAVE to be with employer "A" till I 140 gets approved? (employer A does not intend to revoke I 140...and I understand there is a risk if ther is an RFE on I 140 during this period)

If Company A does not withdraw -140 then you are in good shape. But if A withdraws, you have to start all over again.

TO be on AC-21 (EAD) you just have to get new I-9 to 'B' and (your choice) send letter to USCIS.
